For 30 years, South Oakland Shelter (SOS) has been ending homelessness for individuals and families in crisis. With an emphasis on homeless prevention, sustainable housing solutions, and career development, SOS implements strategies and programs that provide realistic options for homeless and at-risk people seeking stabilization and self-sufficiency.
Join The Howling Diablos for a Festivus Benefit Concert for South Oakland Shelter Saturday, December 19th indoors at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Enjoy great music, food & drink, and Festivus fun & games...
* Music: The Detroit Cobras, Howling Diablos and Royal Blackbirds!
* Food & Drink: $4 Detroit beer and cocktails, food trucks and indoors concessions
* Fun & Games: Feats of Strength Competition, Festivus Pole Unveiling, Celebrity Airing of Grievances, and more

The concert is a benefit South Oakland Shelter to support their work with the homeless.

The Royal Oak Rib, Beer & Music Fest is Friday-Sunday, July 3-5th at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market. As the name implies, there will be an unparalleled selection of ribs and barbeque complimented by craft beers and full bar service.
Admission to this family friendly event is free with multiple stages of music, dozens of restaurants, a rib cook off, kid’s zone, and more!
