DIAMOND DOGS: RELOAD, REWIND & RECALL ROCK N ROLL

RELOAD, REWIND & RECALL ROCK N ROLL - Swedish glam boogie blue-eyed soul rockers DIAMOND DOGS are back to set things straight!

After the loss of saxophone player and longtime band member Magic Gunnarsson (who died in a drowning accident 2014) Sulo and the rest of DIAMOND DOGS called it a day. They released the album “Quitters & Complainers” in 2015 and went on a farewell tour ending in Oviedo in October together with Iggy Pop.

Since then Sulo’s been releasing 3 solo albums, working with Chris Spedding, Paul Young, The Crunch and the rest of the members been busy with other projects. During this time a lot of DIAMOND DOGS gig requests been dropping in from all over the world and when they found out that 4 of the 10 previous studio albums been out of stock for a long time and wasn’t available as download they started to make a plan.

Sulo & Honk (Henrik Widen), the remaining original members thought it was time to set things straight and release “that” compilation they’ve been talking about for many years. One thing led to another and soon they had a plan and even some new tracks to blend up the compilation with.

“RECALL ROCK & ROLL” (Cargo Records) will be a double album including 30 tracks. 25 old and 5 brand new songs. At the same time Cargo Records will re-release 4 previous albums on Vinyl/CD & download.

DIAMOND DOGS 2019 are:

Sulo - Lead vocals
Lars Karlsson - Guitars
Martin Thomander (ex Electric Boys) - Guitar, Backing vocals
Henrik “Honk” Widen - Keys, Backing vocals
Stefan Bellnäs - Bass
Thomas Broman (ex Glenn Hughes) - Drums

Members of Diamond Dogs also have associations with such fine artists as The Hellacopters, Johnny Thunders, The Solution, The Dogs D’amour, The Nomads, Lisa & the Lips, Ian Hunter and The Crunch.

VOICE OF ADDICTION TOUR STOPS IN DETROIT 9-27 AT SANCTUARY!

Voice Of Addiction (chicago punk est 2004) are heading out on a Canadian & East Coast US tour 9/27-10/21! Detroit is this Thursday 9/27 at Sanctuary

They also just put out a brand new video of an unreleased song "Eraser"

The exasperation and rage Ian “Johnny X” Tomele felt about our new bizarro America is fueling an explosive new chapter in the life of Chicago punk powerhouse Voice of Addiction.

Fusing fiery, propulsive, guitar driven energy with biting wit and sociopolitical commentary, the band’s visionary founder, frontman and chief songwriter wrote and recorded The Lost Art of Empathy as testimony to this seriously jacked up era. READ MORE HERE

While raging against the machine with enough spit, grit, fire and angst to fill the deplorable 24 hour news cycle, the singer covers the waterfront of problems plaguing us.

Kicking them off is “Rustbelt,” an explosive rant about the despair people in his hometown of Cleveland felt during the time he was growing up, when the jobs they counted on for years were suddenly lost to economic circumstances beyond their control.

The track is included on Revolution Vol. 1, a new compilation spotlighting 12 of today’s hottest punk bands on Bongo Boy Records.

Hitting and fraying more than a few nerves in the punk press, the album’s insane ongoing critical acclaim continues to add momentum to a dynamic slate of happenings throughout 2018 – including a summer West Coast tour with a whole new lineup, filming live performance videos at Portland, OR’s Bridge City Sessions and the highly anticipated release of “Punk Band,” a full length documentary chronicling the band’s crazy 2016 Midwest and West Coast Tour.

Voice Of Addiction are politically charged and socially conscious Chicago based punk-rockers. V.o.A. has been around over a decade doing 1,200 shows across the U.S. & Canada. Having 6 official releases & independently selling 7,000 physical copies (as well as being involved in countless compilations, and digital sales) these boys have proven they are a force to be reckoned with.

V.o.A. has been featured in the video games skateboard party 1, 2, & 3 as well as snowboard party 1 & 2.

And a feature length documentary from the last west coast tour "Punk Band" is due to be released in 2018.

FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS ANNOUNCE SUMMER TOUR DATES!

BAND CELEBRATING TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF CHANGES ALBUM

NEW ALBUM SIX OUT NOW VIA RISE RECORDS

For the Fallen Dreams have announced their Summer 2018 tour plans. The band will hit the road for a North American trek, which includes stops in Canada, this August. The dates marks the first leg of the Changes tenth anniversary tour. The band's album of the name dropped in 2008. To celebrate, For the Fallen Dreams will perform Changes in its entirety.

The trek will also feature Sworn In, who are celebrating the fifth anniversary of their Start/End EP. The band will perform the EP in its entirety on the tour. Also performing will be Bodysnatcher, who jump on the tour on the fourth date. Stay Sick Recordings artist Sleep Waker will appear on the first three dates Bodysnatcher's stead. An additional support act will be announced shortly. Confirmed dates are below.

About the trek, singer Chad Ruhlig said, "It's hard to believe it's been a decade since the release of Changes. We've made a life time's worth of memories playing these songs with fans all over the world and we couldn't be more excited to announce this run 10 years later."

He continued, "I still remember where we were when this record came together. The feeling of uncertainty of where music would take us and the drive as young musicians, packed in a van to play our music to whoever would listen.

That's the point, to reflect on how far you've come, to enjoy the journey, and to connect with those who remember where they were and how they felt the first time they heard this album. We look forward to reliving some of those memories and establishing new ones with all of you. Thanks for sticking around — see you soon!"

For the Fallen Dreams released their latest album Six, through Rise Records earlier this year.

After studying classical violin at the Paris Conservatory, Jean Luc Ponty turned to jazz in the 60's. Thanks to his revolutionary style he collaborated with some of the best European and American musicians such as Eddy Louiss, Daniel Humair, Niels Henning-Ørsted Pedersen, John Lewis, Lalo Schifrin, and Quincy Jones. He became the first bebop violinist and US jazz magazine “Down Beat” created a violin category for him in its critics' poll, until then violin was in the 'miscellaneous instruments' category.

His pioneering work on the electric violin in the 70's attracted the attention of pop and rock musicians, he recorded with Elton John and participated to several tours and legendary recordings with Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention and John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra. In 1975 he founded his own band and became one of the most prominent figures of the jazz-fusion movement in the USA, selling millions of albums that all reached the top of the US charts. Ponty's most recent album “The Atacama Experience” is considered as one if his best and to this day Ponty keeps touring with his band around the world.

Ponty also collaborates on occasional projects such as “The Rite of Strings” with Stanley Clarke and Al Di Meola. In 2011 Ponty joined the mythical American group RETURN TO FOREVER IV with Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Lenny White and Frank Gambale for a world tour spanning on 5 continents.

Ponty received the 2007 Jazz Trophy in Germany, the medal of Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur in France in 2009, the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Awards in Ireland, and the Grand Prix of the Sochi Arts Festival in 2012 in Russia from the hands of world famous classical violist and orchestra conductor Yuri Bashmet. In 2012 Ponty performed his music with Orchestre Pasdeloup for his 50-year career celebration at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, then again with symphony orchestras in Brazil, Russia and Hungary in 2012 and 2013.

In April 2013 Herbie Hancock invited him to perform in Istanbul at “International Jazz Day” for UNESCO. Ponty also founded a new quartet with his daughter, pianist-singer-composer Clara Ponty which performed in France and Germany in 2014. Ponty also performed with the 89 musicians of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orcherstra for the Siberian Christmas Festival.

In 2014 Ponty recorded an album as an acoustic trio with Stanley Clarke on double bass and Gypsy-French guitarist Bireli Lagrene, which was released on Impulse/Universal in the Fall 2015.

Jean Luc recently formed the Anderson Ponty Band with Jon Anderson, co-founder and lead singer of British progressive rock band YES, a CD and DVD was released in 2015 followed by a North American concert tour.

RADIO BIRDMAN 2014 TOUR DATES!

Radio Birdman, one of the pioneers of the high energy rock ‘n’ roll scene in Australia, will be playing a limited number of shows this coming October and November. These shows will be a unique opportunity to catch this legendary Australian underground band whose flame has influenced a multitude of current contenders.

The line up will feature founding members Rob Younger, Deniz Tek, and Pip Hoyle, longstanding bassist Jim Dickson and returning Radio Birdman drummer Nik Rieth. Guitarist Dave Kettley of the New Christs will join on guitar.

To make things ever better the band will be reissuing their formidable back catalogue, the demand for which never ceases.

The reissue of the band’s material is initially in the form of a limited edition CD box set, out now. The box contains the three studio albums Radios Appear (Trafalgar and Sire versions) and Living Eyes, all remastered from original tapes. Each of these albums will be accompanied by a standalone bonus disc. Much of the bonus disc material is previously unreleased and will provide a treasure trove of material for diehard fans.

http://www.citadelmailorder.com/mailorder/discs/radio_birdman_the_box.jsp?source=radio_birdman_the_box_new

To cap off the box set there is a previously unreleased live concert recorded at Paddington Town Hall in 1977 just prior to the band's departure for the UK. This live recording has been mixed from master tapes that have languished forgotten for decades. The result is a totally wild and raw release that captures the band’s true primal energy. We’re sure it will prove to be the jewel in the crown for the box set.

The studio albums will also be reissued on vinyl, these being staggered over the months leading up to Christmas.

Live At Paddington Town Hall will come out on vinyl too as a double gatefold LP.

THE BASEBALL PROJECT: SUMMER TOUR 2014

The Baseball Project, feat. members of R.E.M. and Dream Syndicate, to Set Out
on US Summer Tour to support their latest release 3rd, the new installment in their obsessive musical tribute to our national pastime

The Baseball Project will embark on a summer tour in July including dates up and down the East Coast and beyond. The tour follows the release of the band’s third album, 3rd, released on Yep Roc Records on March 25. The record features 17 swings at the national pastime with subjects including Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron and some of the true characters of the game such as once-beloved fallen star of the Mets and Phillies Lenny Dykstra, and acid-tripping pitcher Dock Ellis.

Inspired by the New York Yankees' Bernie Williams and his outstanding career (but somewhat overshadowed by the stacked pinstripe history of Mantle and DiMaggio that only ranks him as the third best center fielder in team history), watch their live in-studio performance of "Monument Park" ABOVE.

The Baseball Project was formed in 2007 by Scott McCaughey (Young Fresh Fellows, The Minus 5, R.E.M.) and Steve Wynn (The Dream Syndicate, Steve Wynn and the Miracle 3). The endeavor began as a way for a couple of fans with a shared musical vision to pay tribute to our national pastime. Since then, The Baseball Project has blossomed into a full-fledged, much-loved band in its own right. Zuzu’s Petals/Steve Wynn drummer Linda Pitmon and R.E.M.’s Peter Buck and Mike Mills fill out the official roster of The Baseball Project, an all-star squad whose following and creativity has grown steadily with each release and tour.

TEN FOOT POLE BACK WITH TOUR DATES AND NEW ALBUM !

"I never doubted that I'd get back into it at some point – I just needed a break," explains TEN FOOT POLE frontman and founding member Dennis Jagard. "Once you've experienced a crowd singing along to the songs you wrote, it's hard to imagine just walking away from the chance to do it again."

Influential SoCal punk rock staple Ten Foot Pole will be releasing their first album in ten years on Cyber Tracks in 2015. But first, they're getting back into the swing of things by doing what they do best – perform. Their US and Canadian mini headline tour kicks off at Reggie's in Chicago, IL on July 15th then circles around the American Midwest and Northeast concluding at The Brighton Bar in Long Branch, NJ (dates below).

"It's too early in the process to limit or define what's going to come out, but I think it's safe to say that fans can expect candid, sincere, honest and outrageous lyrics matched with some aggressive music, a few well-placed stops, and generous helpings of pick slides and feedback," describes Jagard. "I think a good song works regardless of genre, so I just try to write whatever comes to mind." Jagard has teamed up with drummer Chris Dalley (Pulley, Implants), bassist Chris Del Rio (Implants), and guitarist Keith "DJ" Divel (Swindle, Red Devil Squadron) to help create their newest collection of punk rock sing-alongs.

Ten Foot Pole was founded in 1983 and got their start under the moniker Scared Straight releasing an album and a 7-inch. Ten Foot Pole self-released their debut album Swill in 1993, which would eventually lead to a record deal with Epitaph Records.

Their discography includes six albums (Swill, Rev, Unleashed, Insider – Epitaph Records, Bad Mother Trucker – Victory Records, Subliminable Messages – Go-Kart Records), a split EP with Satanic Surfers, and numerous appearances on compilations. Past members include vocalist and Major League Baseball pitching ace Scott Radinsky and drummers Jordan Burns (Strung Out, Pulley) and Tony Palermo (Papa Roach, Pulley, Unwritten Law). Their seventh studio album will be released in 2015 via Los Angeles-based Cyber Tracks, which is owned and operated by El Hefe of NOFX and his wife Jen. Catch them on tour this summer!

The VICTIMOLOGY TOUR will feature new vocalist Mike Vallely joining the band for the first time since performing with them at the 2003 Benefit Shows at the Hollywood Palladium. Vallely is the fifth vocalist in the band’s 38 years of existence and according to founding member, guitarist, primary songwriter and sole continuous member Greg Ginn, Vallely “is the perfect frontman to capture what Black Flag was, is and will be.”

Vallely affirms, “I’m excited about performing songs from the entire Black Flag catalog. I feel confident in my ability to communicate the songs — To give them their due respect and yet still make them my own. Ginn’s songwriting is truly timeless and it gives all of the material relevance right here, right now.”

Supporting BLACK FLAG on the VICTIMOLOGY TOUR (except where noted **) will be Ginn’s own HOR, an electronic, psychedelic, instrumental band, and Brooklyn, NY two- piece atmospheric punk band Cinema Cinema.
