MISSING BOOTSEY X: STORY FROM GERALD SHOHAN

Even though he’s been gone for a year now, don’t think any of his fans and friends will ever forget Bootsey X! I’ve spent some time on Youtube the last few days thinking I would add a one of the video’s of Bootsey X and the Lovemasters along with this picture.

The trouble is, I couldn’t decide which one. Like most of you know, not every show is the brightest star in your universe. Should it be one that reminds me of the time we had that night, or a song that everyone wanted us to play.

I watched one that had both Bootsey and Steve King, both of which left us this past year. Instead of rambling on, I’d just like to say during this holiday season, how thankful I am to have been a part of the life and times of these guys, and thank all of you for being there for us.
Feel free to post or like your favorite tune or moment. THANK YOU GERALD

*NEW VIDEO* TRIBUTE TO BOOTSEY X AND THE LOVEMASTERS!!

In memory of the legendary Bob (Bootsey X) Mulrooney, this music video was edited from 30 years of Bootsey X and the Lovemasters concert footage. It follows the band (in its various line-ups) from some of their earliest filmed shows in 1984 through their memorial show for Bootsey in 2014.

One of their most iconic songs, The Lovemasters recorded multiple versions of Genius from the Waist Down over the years. This version is the one that was released as a single on the 1986 Tremor Records compilation End of the World A Go-Go.
